Gelsey is now in her forever home at Abenaki Farm.
She will continued to be loved and remembered by her students, friends, Abe & Stephanie
There is a special relationship between school horse and instructor. You have to know that horse, have ridden that horse many times, and know how it will react in any situation. That horse has to trust you that you put the right person/student on it, and you have to trust that horse will take care of the student and ultimately listen to you in times of trouble. The best lesson horses, like Gelsey, like to be worked, and like their job. They have one ear tuned into the student and literally one ear turned to listen to you. They will follow you anywhere, and know the difference between a beginner walk lesson and a technical dressage lesson. A lesson horse is not born, it's made.
